While arrays offer better efficiency on searches, linked lists offer better efficiency for inserting elements. What would be nice is to have the best of both worlds. Let's look at how the search in arrays works, and see if we can apply it to something resembling a linked list. To begin with, let's look at which element of the array is potentially being looked at in each level of the search.
